1 year Milestone Session
{Baby Ashton is turning the big O-N-E!}
Recently I had the cutest little bug, Ashton in my studio for his Cake Smash & Bubble Bath Session. He was the cutest, calmest little man. He was quite and was happy no matter what. Ashton’s mom brought him in to capture his cutest smiles, curly hair, and chubby little cheeks for his one year birthday. His actual birthday just happened to be the following day after his session. How awesome is that!?
Cake Smash Sessions are typically done between 10-12 months, just depending on when you are needing your photographs by. Some of my clients like to use these images in a birthday card so they come in a little before their actual birthday to have plenty of time for me to edit and send you all your beautiful images.
Of Course, if you are not worried about having the images by a certain time, I highly suggest waiting the closest you can until your baby is one. This will give your child more time to grow until his full one year old self and also might be a little better when it comes to eating cake. That’s the whole point, right! Haha
After the cake smash, comes the BUBBLES! The bubble bath that is! I mean how adorable is a baby in a tiny clawfoot bath tub? It doesn't get any cuter people! We will get a few shots of your baby with his new friend, Rubber Duck. Most babies LOVE this part. So it’s almost always an easy time to get that genuine smile.
All my Cake Smash Sessions include a white cake for your child’s photo shoot. I will have it all ready when you arrive to the studio! I know…its pretty darn awesome! I try my very best to make this as easy and pain free as I possible can. Not only is the white cake provided, but I also provide a studio wardrobe. After you arrive, you will have a chance to choose your child’s birthday outfit for the session. So, I literally need your child and that’s all!
Here’s an example of the cakes I offer for my cake smash sessions. I add flowers for the princesses, and greenery for the prince’s.
I do still provide a Cake Smash Prep Guide to help prepare your baby for the session. I give you all my tips and best advice to help make sure you have the best session possible! Of course, if your baby isn’t having any of this, of course I am prepared to capture the meltdown too!
